Family farm OPG Marijan Zec was founded in 2008 with the desire and goal of producing ecological extra virgin olive oil, for own and further consumption, in the municipality of Sutivan, the island of Brac. We entered the system of organic production in 2012 and currently cultivate 7 ha of land under olive groves. In our work, we adhere to all the postulates of organic production so that our olive groves are full of different plants, bees, bumblebees, birds and other animals for which these areas are a natural habitat. We are currently processing olives in PZ Selčanka because the cooperative is certified for organic processing, although our next goal is to make our own plant for processing olives into olive oil because we want to control the whole process (from planting trees, through all work in the olive grove: pruning, mowing, protection, nutrition, …. all the way to processing olive fruit into olive oil) to ensure our customers always the same top-quality olive oil.
